In 1958 Christo moved to Paris, where he made his first wrapping using objects from his own studio. Although not formally one of the Nouveaux Réalistes, Christo showed works in their exhibitions. It was also in Paris that Christo met Jeanne-Claude and the two began an artistic collaboration that would last until her death in 2009.
