Gilberto Zorio

  • 1944

In 1963 Gilberto Zorio decided to leave behind the seductive tactility of materials and trade terra-cotta, his favorite material at the time, for polystyrene. The range of materials and objects that he used—all unusual in an artist’s studio—would over time include building materials, engines, animal skins, javelins and canoes, as well as chemical products and solutions.
