Carroll Dunham

  • 1949

Carroll Dunham made his debut as an artist in the late 1970s. His style, linear, but pictorial, initially abstract, grew out of an interest in psychedelic imagery, as well as the automatic processes of Surrealism. His intuitive, instinctive and markedly subjective works opposed the rigorous Post-Minimalism then in vogue in New York.
