Robert Feintuch

  • 1953

During the last twenty-five years Robert Feintuch has made paintings using himself as his model, in many of which his face is turned away from the viewer or otherwise obscured. Feintuch reinterprets myth in its impossibility of reinterpretation, depicting and reliving it through a literal theatricality bordering on farce, in a melancholy negation.
